WELCOME and THANK YOU for visiting onlyREDtrucks! My name is Larry Carlson. I live in Rockford, Illinois (USA). I have always had an interest in the Fire Service. While attending college in upstate New York, I was a member of the Genesee Valley Fire Department. I started this website a few years ago as an opportunity to "distribute" some of my videos and photos in an attempt to educate the general public a little more about firefighters, fire departments, etc.
My interest and participation continues to grow, especially now that I have two daughters involved with the Fire Service: One is a full time EMT/Firefighter with the Menomonee Falls (Wisconsin) Fire Department. She deserves all the credit for the naming of this site, since I "hi-jacked" her email name. The other, has served as a volunteer with the Fairview Fire Department located in Fairview Heights, Illinois, is now back in classes at St. Louis University.

Kristen Lacefield (right) sits with her children Brittany, 13, and Jeffrey Jr., 6, in her Menomonee Falls, WI home after she was released from the hospital. On March 4th, Kristen suffered a cardiac arrest. Jeffrey alerted his older sister, who performed CPR until emergency responders from the Menomonee Falls Fire department arrived.
