SPECIAL MESSAGE TO FIREFIGHTERS

Thanks for visiting "onlyREDtrucks" and THANK YOU for doing the job you do! Please take a minute and read (below) some of the wonderful comments I have received since starting this Website. The power of the "World Wide Web" is truly amazing. I have received emails from all over the country, including Alaska, the Netherlands, England and Australia!

Traffic on this Website is averaging 6,000 to 8,000 "page hits" per month, so it's nice to know that people are paying attention.

Please remember that I do this for you. When you see me on a fire scene, I'm filming for you and the fire service. I'm not the "news media", I'm not trying to "get the story"; I'm only trying to capture and preserve some parts of your job that most people never see and then provide them the opportunity to see it.

I would NEVER intentionally portray anything on this site that would offend, embarrass or discredit the work you do. If any one of you were to "take issue" with anything on this site, please email me and I will remove it.

Thanks again for your support. Your comments are always very much appreciated!

COMMENTS from YOU

I wanted to take a moment and write to you first about your website.  I think it is a great way to show the community some of the challenges that firefighters and EMS personnel deal with on a daily basis. Secondly the photography and videos are great. For people to be able to watch their local fire department work is wonderful.

Just a quick note to compliment you on a great site.  Someone gave me the URL and I have since had a chance to browse every word and watch every video.  Really makes me miss my fire-fighting days, I have to say!  But you, and your site, do honor to the profession.  My hat off to you, sir! Take care and be safe!

I love your website. I am married to a Rockford Firefighter and I cannot tell you how much it means to me to be able to "see" the firefighters at work. No one could ever imagine how difficult "being on the Job" must be, this gives a small sense of the importance of everything firefighters do. It makes me proud of all firefighters!
Thanks also for your cover of Kevin's services, it really helps to remember him through your website.

Larry I had never heard of your web site before. Sunday night I saw someone recording us at a fire. Your web site is very impressive and has great pictures. My son really loved the movie of station 1 pulling out of quarters, he’s only 2. I will be sure to tell more people about this awesome web site. Thank you for your support.

Your website is creating quite a buzz on the department. Yesterday 4 people asked me if I had seen this site. Keep it up. That is some great footage of the Mulberry fire. How do you capture the audio of the radio transmission?

I just want to comment on the incredible job that you do documenting everything that goes on at a fire scene.  I am a relatively new firefighter and I can't tell you how much I've learned by being able to go back and watch what we did over again.  It has been an awesome learning tool and has supported some great critiques and discussion in the station. Thanks for your dedication, I hope you keep it up.

I am a Rockford Firefighter. I wanted to take a moment and tell you that your website is awesome and I hope you keep building it.  I enjoy the movies the most because it captures so much.  I have my entire family visiting your website. Thank you so much for being involved.

I LOVE YOUR WEBSITE. I’M ON THE JOB IN ROCKFORD. VERY NICE WORK. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING MORE FROM YOU ESPECIALLY IN THE AREA OF VIDEOS. WE NEVER REALLY HAVE GOTTEN ANY GOOD COVERAGE IN THE NEWS MEDIA SO IT IS NICE TO SEE SOMEONE PUT TOGETHER SUCH A GOOD SITE. COULD MAKE FOR SOME GREAT TRAINING VIDEOS.

The site looks great, especially with the addition of photos from the last week. I also like when you put a small caption with the picture, it adds a little P.R. for the fire department. Thanks again.

One of the guys on the department told me of your site, and I will say what a great site it is.  I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to put together something like this.  It is really a neat site. Thanks keep up the good work.

NICE JOB!!!!!!! It looks great, keep up the good work!

Thanks for the great website.  I am retired from the Rockford PD after 27yrs. with 13 yrs. on West Sub. Fire.  Always great to see the stories and pictures of my hometown.  Would like to see more "history" pics if you have them. Take care.

Fantastic videos.  Got any more that you'll be putting on line soon?

Just wanted to say nice website! As a firefighter for Local #26 Rock Island IL, I thank you for shedding light for interested people on a profession that they really do not know too much about. Thanks for your great website and your time.

I work at Station ##.  We have spoke a few times.  I love what you have done with this site.  It is outstanding!  Keep up the good work.

You have done a very good job on this website.  Thanks, it's enjoyable.
