Every firefighter's nightmare came true in Lawrence, Kansas early Friday morning (Oct. 7, 2005) when they arrived to find a large 3 story apartment building heavily involved with rapidly spreading fire. As many as 75 to 80 people were in the building when the fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. Three people are still missing; one person has been arrested and charged with arson.

onlyREDtrucks has been following this developing story through the Lawrence-Journal World website. The two videos included here, as well as the photo above, are directly from their website.

North Park Fire and Harlem-Roscoe Fire responded to a one vehicle roll-over on Interstate 90 at the 68 1/2 mile marker. North bound traffic on I-90 was completely shut down for awhile. The accident occurred around 12:30pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. After firefighters extricated people from the vehicle, they were transported via ambulance to local hospitals. Interstate 90 runs between Chicago and Madison; this stretch of road is just north of Rockford, Illinois.

Members of the East Troy (Wisconsin) Fire Department recently hosted a party for the kids from the Wisconsin Alliance for Fire Safety 2005 Burn Camp. In addition to providing food, fun and refreshments, the firefighters converted their station into a Kareoke Stage. The East Troy Fire Department is a 100% volunteer department.
